The library conducts an annual Fund Drive to raise money for the library. A mailed request is sent to residents of St. Marys. Donations can be made at anytime throughout the year.
Memorial or Honorarium Donation
One of the finest ways to remember a deceased friend or loved one is by making a memorial donation to your public library. A book or donation to the library will benefit people throughout the community for years to come.
For a contribution of $15.00 or more, the library will order an appropriate book. Gifts of less than $15.00 will be added to the library book fund. Acknowledgment of this contribution will be mailed to anyone you designate. A book plate, noting your name and the name of the remembered person will be placed in the front of each book purchased with your memorial donation.
Library donations are lasting and fitting memorials for a deceased friend or loved one. They provide needed material for library patrons and signify your thoughtfulness.
Donations can be made in person or through the mail. Download our Memorial Form below.
Donate money to the library with every purchase from Amazon.
Adopt an Author
Support the library by insuring the availability of new books by popular authors. In addition, you will be the first to read your favorite author’s new book.
The Adopt An Author program is also a gift idea for that “hard to buy for” person in your life. You can adopt an author to say thank you, in honor of someone or in memoriam to honor a deceased loved one.
Please contact the library for information on available authors.
Donation of Items
We will accept materials that are in excellent condition
Books, Audiobooks (CD and cassette), Videos/DVDs, Music CDs.
We do not accept:
Textbooks, encyclopedia type books, damaged or non-working items, materials that are moldy or smell.
Additional materials will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
All donated items will become property of St. Marys Public Library. Donated items may be added to the collection, sold to benefit the library, or given to another library or organization without notification to the donor.
