2012 Winter Storytime and Event Schedule

WriteOn  Writing Contest Kick-off  (kids K-3rd grade)

     The library will host a WPSU kick off for a WriteOn Writing Contest.  The contest is free and those attending will get the information they need to submit their creative story for a chance to have it published on the web!

Wii Dance Game Night (Children 6 years and up)

     The library will host a Wii Dance night for kids in a group of four.  Groups are set up on a first come first served bases with each player getting a turn to choose the dance tune.

 

Last Tuesday evening of every month:

    Jan. 31st, Feb. 28th, Mar 27th, and Apr. 24th.

                       

  

 

Storytime Playgroup (parents and kids ages 5 and under)

The Guidance Center’s Parents as Teachers team up with the St. Marys Public Library for a social playgroup time with stories, songs, crafts and snacks.

February 1: Teeth Storytime

February 8: Valentine’s Day

February 15: Night time   

February 28:  Dr. Seuss’s Birthday

March 7: All About Me & Body Parts

March 14: Baby Animals

March 21: Birds Friends

March 28:  One book Storytime

April 4: Easter egg hunt

 

Wednesdays -  Two sessions

 

Session 1:   10-11 a.m.

Session 2:   6:30-7:30 p.m.

 

*Note: One Book, Every Young Child program will be offered March 28: a PA collaborative program to encourage Parents and Caregivers to read, interact, and promote early literacy skills to toddlers and preschoolers.  Read more about the program at www.paonebook.org.

 

Kids Craft Club (Grades K-5)

School age children will interact and create an individual craft to take home each month under the direction of Art Teacher Amy Reed. Craft supplies will be provided.
